Hi. My name is James McCarthy, I'm the owner of JMC Fabrication, which is a fabrication Business based in Drombanna, Co. Limerick. I am a qualified metal fabricator with 20 years experience in all aspects of metal fabrication & welding.

JMC Fabrication specialises in gates, railings, staircases, general fabrication & welding. The areas I cover are Limerick, Cork, Clare, Tipperary and Kerry.

This also enables me to deliver every project on time and within the stipulated budget and never compromising on the highest quality of work. I offer various solutions, unique styles and design ideas for your staircases.

My experience of 20 years in this industry has enabled me to innovate a lot in the metal staircase services as I can provide you with a lot of suggestions like including glass and stainless steel elements in your staircase to provide that ultra-modern look to your staircase.

General Fabrication - Fabrication is the process of constructing products by combining typically standardised parts using one or more individual processes. For example, steel fabrication is the production of metal structures using a range of processes such as cutting, bending and assembling.

With my many years of diversified experience safeguard my unmatched craftsmanship standards in all types of metal fabrication, and capable machines & technology demonstrate my precise capabilities. Similarly my efficient turn-around times make sure your project is finished on time or ahead of schedule and at the very highest quality.

Welding - Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by using high heat to melt the parts together and allowing them to cool, causing fusion. Welding is distinct from lower temperature techniques such as brazing and soldering, which do not melt the base metal.

Welding works by joining two materials together without a separate binder material. Unlike brazing and soldering, which use a binder that has a lower melting point, welding joins the two workpieces directly together. Understanding this difference is key to understanding welding and why it’s preferred for durable, long-lasting construction.
